Happy #fossilfriday ! I'm 3D printing a full scale replica of one of our Ichthyosaurs. This will be used for education and outreach within the Lyme Regis Museum ! This Ichthyosaur also has intestinal preservation which I'm writing a paper on! #fossils #palaeontology

Being a paleontologist for a living is one of the most absurdly wonderful occupations. It's such a joy to be able to study fossils and try to figure out things we don't currently understand about evolution and the history of life #FossilFriday

Happy 25th anniversary to Walking with Dinosaurs, the palaeo-docufiction that really helped pull me into palaeontology! Time of the Titans remains my personal favourite episode, especially because it starred my personal favourite dinosaur: Diplodocus hallorum.

Rigorous, well written, & based in biological reality - a standard that all paleobio work should strive to meet. Having had a front row seat to this project's development, I can attest to the ungodly amount of work it represents & am so happy for James to finally have it out!

Thrilled that our long-lost monograph on the British theropod Neovenator is now digitized and online! Roger Benson & I wrote this way back when we were students...and then various hiccups kept it from being published online...until now! Check it out here: tandfonline.com/toc/tmps20/162…

The start of a new allosaurus project appears to be getting off the ground. It’s still a long time coming, but perhaps the different lizard has some new things it can teach us.

He was the worst President in history. And when he got voted out, he tried to stage a coup. Then he stole national secrets and sold the ones he didn't store in the bathroom. He was convicted of fraud, found liable of sexual assault and convicted of 34 felonies. He is half a

He's got the senate, he's got the house, he's got the Supreme Court, and he's got the Presidency. He can do what he wants now. There will be no checks and balances. The dictatorship is here. Some will applaud it, but even they will suffer under it too.

#OTD in 1823, #MaryAnning discovered a fossil in the Lias between Lyme Regis and Charmouth, and excavated it that evening and the next morning. Although unsure of what she had found, after some preparation work she realised that it was the first complete example of Plesiosaurus.
