Congratulations to our newest PhD fellowship graduate, Dr. Pascaline Sanga from Rwanda! She completed her fellowship at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, researching MXene-functionalized Nanomaterials and their applications for removal of toxic pollutants from water.

🥳 Today we celebrate our fellow Nokuphila Winifred Nompumelelo Simelane from Eswatini, who has graduated with her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Johannesburg. Dr. Simelane is using photodynamic effects for better diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer.

Another new OWSD alumna to celebrate today! 2021 fellow Regina Nakiranda from Uganda has graduated from North-West University NWU - North-West University in South Africa with her PhD in nutrition. Her thesis focused on the immune effects in infants of daily egg consumption. Congrats Dr. Nakiranda!
