Brock-for-Broglio is possibly the most well known trade in baseball history. Today at Portion Under Busch, read Vince Broligio retell stories of the trade and his dad's #STLCards and #Cubs career! He also tells a very funny, Larry David-esque, story about the 1964 World Series.

The first trade John Mozeliak ever made was to send Jim Edmonds to the Chicago White Sox, Edmonds rejected that trade, ended up in SD for a month, and then the Cubs. Cardinal70 wrote on the betrayal of Edmonds contrasted with the redemption of Wilson Contreras. Link below!

Trying to work on custom cards to fill some gaps out there. Practicing. 1964 Topps Stan Musial career capper attempt here. How terrible is it? I am aware of some issues, don’t know how glaring they are to others.

This isn’t true. It wasn’t a tie. Ok, it technically was true. They were tied. But they weren’t really tied. MLB is just really bad at maths and logic.

Before Johnny Mize, there was Ripper Collins. Before William Sianis' billy goat, there was Ripper Collins. OnlyCardsFans writes about the #STLCards and #Cubs player who everyone should know, but very few remember.

Yes, I wrote about Ripper Collins, Cardinal hero, and later…as a Cub…Cardinal hero. You shouldn’t read this unless you’re an actual cool Cardinals fan interested in more than just randos making fake trade proposals.

Chaim Bloom setting up fans for a lengthy rebuild, and then going out and getting actual stars now would be totally awesome. A 180 from the Mozeliak era. Troll us in a positive way!

Flood didn’t get this one, but it should be emphasized to people that this isn’t a one-off looking catch. The back-to-the-infield sprawling on the wall catch was something he did several times. A Flood specialty.
