Our Beds for Babies scheme is the first of its kind in the country - a guarantee to every child under 5 in South Yorkshire that they will have a safe place to sleep. I spoke to BBC News (UK) about why we started the project and why it’s so important for all too many families.

This morning we have launched the South Yorkshire Music Hub. Thanks to funding from Arts Council England we are bringing together music services across South Yorkshire to give young people access to the best of music education, and truly make the most of their talents.

Today we came together as Mayors and local leaders at the launch of the Manifesto for the North, to drive forward our ambitions for our communities and the whole of the North. This is a once in a generation moment for devolution and we are determined to grasp that opportunity.
