What Noah Lyles said has been said countless times for years/decades. It SHOULDN'T be news but it's proof that people don't often think beyond what they see on social media.

Even when the U.S. was considered the dominant force in the sprints for decades, the winner of the trials was never considered the world champion. Why....? because they hadn't beaten the competition from around the world yet. The nba, nfl, mlb, NHL's, etc title isn't the world.

🚨ATHLETES🚨 MOST track coaches don’t have a problem with you being a multi sport athlete (that makes a team go round) The problem comes when you SKIP track practices/meets for the out of season sports Bc you wouldn’t skip that sport for track activities

Social media creates an illusion where people make statements of revelation about things that others have been doing for ages.

This u.s. 4x1 relay situation is why the conversations about experience play far less of a factor than actual discipline and practice. The u.s. makes mistakes with veterans often enough for that not to be a consistent narrative.

With the SEC limiting their x-country/track roster size, what's more likely to happen? 1. H.S. athletes/coaches putting less emphasis on getting to the SEC 2. College coaches spamming the transfer portal even more 3. NIL money makes it irrelevant since it's the SEC
