I spent 30 minutes getting a simple java app hosted on both Gcloud and on Azure with Docker from scratch. However, the cost is way too high for a hobby project. Easily 10x what I'm now paying Hetzner for a VM.

Had the most intense and fun coding experience I’ve ever had this weekend. 8 hours live multiplayer code battle where you program a turn based strategy game. Your code against others, racing to improve logic and handle new units. @[email protected] (mastodon) 🌻 made an amazing game for programmers!

Could not sleep after the competition, because my mind was still on fire. My code was a jumbled mess of spagetti, so much to improve, so many new approaches to try. So much fun!
