The beginning of September has marked the end of the end of meteorological Summer and the beginning of meteorological Fall. This past August and Summer stood out with respect to temperatures, especially at Chattanooga. Precipitation was also highly variable across the region.

Another beautiful day across East TN, with highs in the lower to mid 80s.

We happen to "NOAA" guy and put in a request for some cooler weather. It looks like the request has been granted! We hope you enjoy the max temps over the next 7 days.

Not much chance for rain over the next several days. Best chance looks to be sometime in the late Friday into Saturday time frame, but those chances still look low.

Dry and warm weather continues today. A cold front will pass through the area on Saturday and bring cooler temperatures for the weekend.

More fall-like conditions will be arriving for the weekend. A few locations may see a shower Friday night or early Saturday as a cold front moves through, but overall expect mainly dry weather with well below normal temperatures arriving Saturday and continuing Sunday.
