#OnThisDay, 30 years ago in 1992, roof restoration began at #Tintagel OPO. The slates were removed in three stages in order to repair the supporting timbers. The conservation project took six months and cost £75,000. It was decided that the Tudor roof should remain wonky 🙂

A patchwork of quilts, from Victorian bedspreads to modern masterpieces is on display in the house until 26 June. Normal admission charges apply.
