Quite a nice story here. £3,000 of a £10k grant to the Ukrainian Refugee Support Hub Committee has been returned unspent as many refugees are now "almost entirely settled in their own homes," a letter from the support hub says...

... "The members have been very grateful for the help they have received and the welcome they have had in our town at a time of huge need," the letter adds. Lovely.

Sounds like the death knell to this foolish scheme.

In spite of an attempt by the Lib Dems to delay this, the Town Council voted to approve this.
