Airborne history: ‘Ferryside’. Boy Browning sailed up the Fowey river in 1932 & met Daphne du Maurier. “Then out of the sea like a ball of fire, the sun came hard and red”- a line from the Frenchman’s Creek which inspired Browning for the red/maroon beret
