The Nigerian Academy of Science sadly announces the passing of one of its Council members, a visionary leader and erudite scholar, Professor Emmanuel Iyayi Unuabonah FAS, at the age of 50 years. This sad event happened on 26-3-25. He was a Professor of Chemistry.

Professor Christian Happi FAS has been named among the 2025 TIME 100 World's Most Influential People. Christian Happi, a Foreign Fellow of NAS, is a Professor of Molecular Biology & Genomics and a Director at the African Centre of Excellence for Genomics (ACEGID)
