Yesterday was a historic day in plant biotech: a purple tomato engineered with high antioxidants was approved by Dept. of Agriculture NorfolkPlantSciences helps prevent cardiovascular disease and fight cancer in humans. This approval under new regulation ushers in a new era for plant synbio!

Every farm chemistry has benefit and risk, strengths and weakness. However, the health risks around occupational use of #glyphosate have been exaggerated to delight anti-ag activists and trial lawyers. Now NBC News adds to the misinformation. #AgTwitter geneticliteracyproject.org/2022/10/13/vie…

This clearly refutes the lies spread by eNGO activists about GM crops and chemical use. While eNGOs call for improved sustainability, they openly campaign against the very technology that is improving sustainability. Defies logic.

Greenpeace International The most impactful change would be to be honest. Greenpeace, why do you deliberately lie about the safety of GM crops? People that donate to Greenpeace deserve to know just how honest your organization is.

I agree with Prof Wells re #CRISPR & #GMO There is “an artificial parsing of language such that genetic engineering using one technique is claimed to be appreciably different from GE through the use of another technique.” Let’s use whatever works to achieve sustainable # ag goals
