NPSO Donates 900 Face Shields to Natchitoches Parish School Board.
The face shields will be used for COVID-19 protective measures during the upcoming school year.
The shields were initially donated to the NPSO by Ford Motor Company.
All tropical storm watches and warnings along the Louisiana coast have been discontinued based on Tropical Storm Marco.
Marco could still bring heavy rain and high winds, but wind shear has kept Marco from building into a stronger storm. More: nola.com/news/hurricane…
Tropical Storm Laura is Now Hurricane as it continues to gain Strength in the Gulf of Mexico.
Laura is Expected to Make Landfall between the Louisiana and Texas Coast Lines and will continue moving north throughout the State.
A Hurricane watch has been issued by the National Weather Service in Shreveport.
The storm will begin to impact our area as early as Wednesday night and will continue into most of Thursday.
Earlier today FEMA declared Natchitoches Parish a major disaster area due to the extensive damage we received from Hurricane Laura.

US-71 is closed at this time.
