Can you use LLMs to replace crowdworkers in NLP evaluations? My amazing collaborators and I analyzed this broadly. Answer: Sometimes LLMs correlate very well with human judgments, but you can't rely on it.

This was one of the main reasons I chose to do a PhD at MPI-SWS. You dont have to book travel and any reimbursements are done within 1 week. And you get paid well enough to be able to save a lot!! Lack of financial stress is a huge thing when doing a PhD.
