I think when you’re an outspoken or eager person you can find yourself leading simply because people will yield to a louder voice. But it’s important to know your own skill set and still be able to express when something is out of your skill and comfort zone #OTalk

Passion can help build skill, but I would argue it can’t replace it. Both are important and ideally, one without the other is bound to lead to disaster in the end, but this is why we have CPD requirements. Continue to build skill and stoke the passion for change! #OTalk

I think it’s important to make sure you can get things done, but inspiring others is so important too! As a student I think about some of my educators, the difference they’ve made to my life and the way I practice.. & they’ll make that difference for so many students! #OTalk

For a lot of working class people, this is going to completely demotivate people from going to uni. That’s gonna have a long term effect on recruitment within healthcare and the NHS too.. seems bad all around

Thabie 🖤✨ (@msteetheot) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This feels wholly inaccurate.. not many people thought this was fair or reasonable, just simple the best they were likely to get. Best out of a bad bunch doesn’t meet the gold standard!

Still sinking in that I’m coming to the end of my degree. What a journey it’s been! These have been the hardest 3 years of my life but I’m so so proud to be done! Lost two grandparents during this degree and honestly this is for them. Hope I’ve made you proud 🫶🏾💚

I always say to patients, if you need an OT just look for the green trousers! Something I learnt on my first placement and it can be so helpful for professional identity, especially in integrated settings. This seems like a shame to me!

I’m saluting Xoliswa Occupational Therapist 🇧🇼🇿🇼 and Melissa chieza 💚 Never met these lovely ladies but they’ve been so supportive of me and my OT journey. Could not have made it through my degree without them 🥲

I don’t know why this doesn’t get discussed enough but three days bereavement leave in the UK is absolutely diabolical. If that’s your parent or sibling you are going to be unable to focus at work or anything in life for months
