Betsy DeVos is shamefully using the coronavirus crisis to push her voucher agenda. Tell congress to stop her. Take action with @EdVotes educationvotes.nea.org/stop-betsy-dev…

Some of my broadcast journalism students were on a Zoom call today with YouTube star/filmmaker Zach King. North and South TV Production students were in too. He was so cool and kind to the kids and answered a lot of their questions. Very cool experience!

but he also offered to speak to my students. Today he met with over 100 students through Zoom. He was so kind, interesting and approachable.

He answered as many questions as time allowed and shared his experiences that highlighted things both my Innovation and Design students and my broadcast students benefited from. Remote learning is hard and people are upset, but this experience made me feel better.JamieSiminoff

Tonight we told my 9 year old son that he has autism. After wrestling with how to discuss it, we decided to couch it in terms of him having a superpower. In other words, we told him the truth.
