It is very hard for animals to find food during winter months. We have talked about squirrels collecting and hiding acorns & seeds. Today we visited the large oak tree & tried to dig for acorns in the ice and snow. Wow! We found none! Hope those squirrels have a secret stash.

Today the Cardinals visited the forest and we noticed different kinds of tracks. We saw animal tracks, foot tracks, straight tracks made by skis and bumpy tracks made by fat tires. Please ask your child about our adventure in the forest today! Laura Bennett KanataHighlands
