The Guildford Learning has served the community of Guildford for over 30 years. Tonight’s celebration by so many reflected the legacy it has left behind as we look forward to our new home at the North Surrey Learning Centre; beginning a new chapter ⁦Surrey Schools⁩

Every morning on announcements I remind the school about integrity, doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do…even when no one is watching. They don’t know this, but it serves as a reminder for me as I begin each day.

Becoming a better teacher isn't about knowing more content. Becoming a better teacher is about designing ways for kids to become better learners.

Recently, I modeled for a new teacher how to have a phone conference with a parent. It went beautifully. His response: “I’m so glad you did this with me. I’ve heard so many negative things about contacting parents and how it never helps. Now I see so much value in it.” Please

No one should make decisions about education without first stepping into a classroom to understand the reality of teaching and learning.

Principals, don’t spend your weekend trying to get caught up on work. You’ll never get caught up on work. Go home and love your family.

There’s a difference between “complaining” and identifying challenges. The best teammates are always looking for solutions!

Now that was the craziest sporting experience I’ve witnessed. The U15 Pan American Championships have closed and Team Canada has qualified for the World Cup. Every father’s dream is to see their child be happy at what they do. I’m beyond proud of you and your team #12. Congrats.
