Today is the start of #NationalHispanicHeritageMonth ! We learned all about the importance of this month and read the Story Alma. We talked about the meaning of our names and then got to watch an interview with the author, Juana Martinez.

The kids are working hard today on finding Nonfiction Text features in their reading and thinking about how they enhance their reading!

The class got to show off their creativity today! We painted pumpkins to match our character trait centered pumpkin stories! I can't wait to hear them tomorrow!

We experimented with gravity today by dropping pencils to see how they accelerated when they fell.

In reading today we read The Great Turkey Race by Steve Metzger. Then we started planning out our own obstacle course for the turkey race this morning. Stay tuned to see the final product.

Today we went to Turn The Page Cafe to taste some new books! We had so much fun reading different genres and exploring new books! They did such a great job!

We always have fun reading and solving math puzzles with our buddies!!

We helped Tacky the Penguin disguise himself from danger and learned the importance of being unique!

The students are working hard to escape from the shape machine but they have to know the attributes of the quadrilaterals to make it out!

Today we started #thankfulthursday with Mrs. T sharing what she loves about each student. The students then drew themselves while their classmates wrote what they loved about them #positivevibes

In reading and writing we are learning about imagery. The students got to draw what they saw as we read a poem. They came up with some pretty creative ideas! Love to see these artists at work!

Our class is working hard on creating the three different types of Solar Eclipses- Total, Partial, and Annular. These are coming along nicely!
