It makes me sad when a teacher assistant says “I’m just a para” when they introduce themselves to me…we CANNOT do our jobs without support staff. They are the backbones of our schools. No one is “just” anything on your staff. Make sure your support staff feel encouraged & loved.

Fixing Education I teach at a Title 1 school, still no pencils for students who don’t have one, waiting on basic classroom supplies. Screwed up master schedule, kids not placed properly (sped, el) but we’re told to engage/support them in their learning. We do our jobs, admin needs to do theirs.
