I would love to know peoples thoughts on whether character figures such as Paw Patrol have a place in the classroom? I have always favoured wooden open ended toys e.g peg dolls but so many of my children starting next year love Paw Patrol. The EY Tagteam @millies_garden Fliss James

It’s alway worth asking the question - whilst in my local Co-op store I asked what they do with the flowers with yellow stickers on if no one buys them….I now have lots of bunches of flowers to share around some local EY settings for lots of flower related play!

How it started v’s how it ended! I was imagining potions and perfumes but the petals quickly became food for the mini-beasts!

REC have had a fantastic Go Wild Day to raise money and awareness of endangered animals. We have had a friendly protest where we made posters, gave speeches to our friends to persuade them to adopt an animal as well as writing and performing chants.

Loving the children’s representations of sunflowers this week! I’ve had a great week getting to know the children who are going to be in my class in September.

First CPD session of the year involved a great team discussion around this article - it was great to celebrate the things that we are already doing really well and agreed a few tweaks we could make based on the findings.
