Today the Business Club at Mountsfield Public School held it's first official "Dragon's Den" session. So many fantastic pitches from our group of young entrepreneurs!
No walls no problem! Our virtual Gr. 6 classes Mountsfield Public School have been using Google Jamboard for a digital Thinking Classroom. These tricky surface area questions were no match for collaboration and creative thinking.
Today in social studies we welcomed @achimhurrelmann my mentor from Carleton University Political Science to talk to our class about international trade. We had a wonderful discussion about CETA with lots of great questions the bright young minds at Mountsfield Public School!

Ever wonder where words come from? The Gr. 7/8s Mountsfield Public School are learning about the history of language and etymology. We used our knowledge of Greek and Latin roots to map out some tricky vocabulary words from our article of the week. TVDSBLiteracy
In 7/8A Mountsfield Public School we've been learning about the effects of mining on our environment and took on the cookie mining challenge! We learned that it isn't so easy to get the resources we need without damaging our cookies even with the right tools! Thames Valley DSB
Diagrams just don't do molecules justice so we figured why not make our own? In 7/8A Mountsfield Public School we applied our knowledge of particle theory to create common molecules using Tinkercad. Next we'll be 3D printing our models to use as manipulatives TVDSB STEM

Everyone loves a good foldable! In 7/8A we've been exploring how different nations interacted in historical context as well as how to study them using our knowledge from geography last term. What amazing work! Mountsfield Public School
