We had a great cultural corridor cleanup this morning. Thanks to the community members and Public Works staff who spent all morning on Central Ave with us!

There is an active police situation at Annunciation Church, 509 W. 54th St. There is no active threat to the community at this time. The shooter is contained. Stay away from the area to allow emergency personnel to help victims – W. 54th Street between Lyndale and Nicollet Ave.

Last night there was a fire at a duplex in our Ward where someone tragically died. This is now the 3rd fire near Central Ave in September alone. I will be having a community meeting with the Fire department on October 8th at 6 PM, location TBD. More details will be shared soon.
