P3W have been learning all about onomatopoeias. We went to the glen to listen to sounds and think of some onomatopoeias to describe them. 🐦🍃🌊

We have been revising our knowledge of halves and quarters this week.

We have been enjoying developing our coding skills using Scrath. 📱

P3 have been learning about their local area. We went on a community walk to see what kinds of houses we could spot. 🏡

We have been learning about different units of time. We had a go at estimating how long it would take us to complete a task and then our partner times us to see if we were correct. ⏰

We have also been learning how to convert different units of time and identify which one is longer or shorter. ⏰

Today we spoke about what we already know about measuring. Then we had a go at measuring length, weight, capacity and area. ⚖️

P3 loved having the opportunity to visit P7’s businesses this week! We were all very impressed by these young entrepreneurs ☺️ @wqps_mrsbruce Miss Smith & P7Q

We have been further developing our coding skills. We learned how to add ourselves as characters and made short animations using different scenes. 📱

Congratulations to our Masked Musicians in P3W and Miss Richards you all sounded amazing!

We conducted experiments to find out about the properties of different materials. We used the measure skills we have been learning in numeracy to make sure our tests were fair! 🧪🥼👩🏻‍🔬

A reminder that is is our school trip tomorrow. Pupils should arrive promptly at 9am dressed in full school uniform so that the bus can leave on time. Please ensure your child has a packed lunch with them unless you have already identified that they need a school lunch. ☺️

We had so much fun at our trip to the Kelvingrove! @MrShawWps 🚌

We loved looking at all the animals and even found some that live in Egypt. 🐊🦒🐘

We found out about the Ancient Egyptian death ritual and even got to dress up as some important Egyptian gods.

We were even able to touch some real artefacts that were 3000 years old!

Then we spent some time exploring the rest of the museum too. 🌟
