When you contact places you have rotated looking for a spot, I suggest you put your picture on your email if you met them. It is very hard for faculty and directors to remember the name with the face

I applied for a medical residency position in the US. When I saw the CVs of some of the people who I applied with, I was asking myself why will they pick me. #ButGod stepped in where my qualifications stopped and I got multiple offers in places where I could only dream of. #Mercy

Seeing all the people who matched today has me in my feelings. I can only imagine how incredibly difficult it has been since Monday and the strength you've had to muster.

I’m thoroughly enjoying my single days, months, years or whatever is left of it. Not even in the romanticized way but it’s the simplicity of it, the lessons, the liberty, the fact that I know I’ll never be able to re-live this phase once it’s over. I’m taking it all in ❤️

for students who are worried about applying to a competitive specialty because it’s “hard” - you know what else is hard? being in a field that’s wrong for you find a mentor. have a plan. have a back-up plan. if you don’t at least TRY, you won’t ever know. you got this!! :,)
