Hi chrislintott - just a quick note to let you know that when our planned speaker had to cancel at the last moment*, we shared yr Gresham Lecture "First light: Revealing the Early Universe" lecture with our members. It went really really well. Thanks. * a very valid reason!
Seeing lots of ads popping up as we approach Xmas where you can ‘buy a star’ from the Star Registry! Its utter bollox I’m afraid. No-one can name stars other than International Astronomical Union (IAU) The only person that recognises ‘your’ star name is you ! Pls don’t waste ur money
Looking forward to our next Club Meet on Friday 24th November. A talk by the fantastic Andy Newsam Andrew Newsam @[email protected] , plus our usual "What's up Next Month?" and "What we've been up to recently". 7.30 pm at the Delamere Explorers Cabin.
Don't forget that our November meeting is this Friday at 7.30pm at the Forest Explorers cabin. Our guest speaker is Prof Andy Newsam Andrew Newsam @[email protected].
A talk about the design of the James Webb Space Telescope is coming up at Daresbury Lab, Runcorn on Thursday 25th January. Sci-Tech Daresbury Booking required, can be done here stfc.ac.uk/public-engagem…
