Big news!!! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve started a postdoc position in the The Banfield Lab at UC Berkeley looking more into the role of the soil microbiome in generating stable soil C. Looking forward to this chapter and new, exciting science questions & systems!

My 3rd PhD chapter with @wilkinslab is now out in ISME Communications! We use an 11 year wildfire burn scar chronosequence in CO/WY to discern whether different microbial life history strategies help taxa thrive/survive in burned soils 🦠🔥 academic.oup.com/ismecommun/art…

We had an amazing turnout to listen to our Colorado State University Next Generation Sequencing Core Director Jessica B. Henley talk. The interdisciplinary microbiome research network built through hashtag #CoSMic and Group of Researchers Across Microbiomes (GRAM) is strong!
