Mickey Ruiz led the bottom of the first inning off with a home run to give Maumee a quick 1-0 lead over visiting Bryan.

How do you start a season? Mickey Ruiz tried it this way. Strikeout the side in the top of the first and then crack a lead off finger in the bottom #WeAreMaumee

Maumee’s softball team defeated Bryan 12-6. Mickey Ruiz struck 10 batters out on the mound and hit a home run while going 3-for-4 from the plate. Alyssa Ellis (R, RBI), Lily Simok (2 R) and Brianna Zattau (3 RBI) also had multi-hit games for the Panthers.

2020 seniors at MHS I don’t have words to express how sad I am for these 6 Seniors watching all them grow on their own and in different ways and how far they come has been a blessing for me . All 6 are wonderful kids and are going to make a difference in the world. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
