We’ve tried a lot of meal delivery services over the last 18 months and, eh, it’s not great. Meals are variable — some give a choice, others it’s a weekly surprise. I struggle to eat wilted spinach, and it’s a poplar “leafy green” side dish. But wow, it’s so much trash. So. Much.

For all the hand wringing about Carta — their investors/board *had* to have known that feature was coming *and* thought it was a good idea. Heck, they might even have been the ones who advocated for it.

Is the strategy here to have such terrible ads that folks feel compelled to pay for ad-free Twitter? It’s like the opposite of IG — anti-relevance. Oh wait, is this the new geocities?

Web and Apps would, universally be, 10% better by removing the floating initiate chat interfaces. I click on them so often by mistake, and they’re never actually helpful. Just stop.

I'm bulk deleting tens of thousands of photos from Google Photos. It (a) is doing it remarkable well, much better than deleting thousands of emails in Gmail. (b) Their web app is really, surprisingly, quite good. Way better than I've come to expect from Google web services.

Late fall cleaning is going great! I've reduced my Google usage enough to cancel Google-One, and I've finally sorted though Dropbox and cancelled that too! All told I'll save like ~$21/mo.

So … folks are going to use AI to write code, & tests. Then they’ll use an AI to manage CI, & run those tests. Code will, of course, be reviewed an AI. Deploys: AI. Most of these value add AI svcs are built on top of a few models. They’ll all depend on hardware from 1-w cos?

Does anyone actually think Perplexity is worth using? I’ve tried using the Pro version for four months now. It’s worse than Google + Gemini or Anthropic in most if not every way.
