Today we discovered the work of Charlie French, a London-born abstract artist. After looking at some of his art pieces and finding out about his art inspirations, we created some visual notes in our sketchbooks. Next lesson we will become abstract artists ourselves! #NPSArt

This afternoon we started our topic looking at the Anglo Saxons. It was great to hear that the children were able to link their previous topic The Romans from Year 4 with todays lesson. The children then used atlases to identify where the Anglo-Saxons invaded Britain.
