Receiving so many messages like this made me truly realize how impactful and oppressive modern beauty standards are... Defying those standards is necessary because the way someone's nose or stomach looks should in no way be affecting their self-respect.

Hi to new followers! I like to draw pin-up style illustrations featuring my character Nanaco.

Many seem to forget that you can be slightly bigger or slimmer (in relation to the “ideal” or stereotypical healthy body) and still be healthy. Obesity and anorexia are dangerous, but shaming people with health conditions instead of sympathizing with them is inherently wrong.

The solution might just be empathy and respect because society right now is excessively toxic (not that it never has been…)
