I deliberately stayed away from creating work that suits a narrative and it be fetishised, kitsch and/or have a direct illustrative representation of who I am as a #British #Muslim #female. I wanted to explore the true materiality of textiles through colour and the use of copper.

Picked up these beauties from the lovely gardeners at Horniman Museum and Gardens. Preparing natural dyes to dye #bamboo fabric for my workshop this coming Saturday.
