So a "fun" story: I used to license my art to a small company that manufactures diamond art kits A few months ago this company contacted me & said they were struggling & couldn't pay my royalties anymore. I just checked their new website - their shop is now full of A/I images🫠

A judge will soon decide if the teacher shot by a six-year old is entitled to only workers’ comp. or if her lawsuit will go to trial. A lawyer for the school board said “her obligations as a teacher exposed her to the risk of being shot.” HER OBLIGATIONS AS A TEACHER.

just a friendly reminder that if you want small, independent businesses to survive, you have to shop there once in a while. you can't just backsource everything you find there and try to find a cheaper price online. or if you do, don't performatively lament when they shutter.

This Heritage report cites the unreliability of the NWS forecasts as a motivation behind commercialization. The source? An AccuWeather article (unbiased much?) which itself makes no such claim.

I cannot say this strongly enough: while we condone the scientific method, this is one experiment we do NOT want you to perform during tornado warnings.

Today Prof. Grant Petty's taught his last class in UW Atmos/Ocean Sci , as he retires after 24 years. We surprise "disrupted" his graduate radiation class to celebrate Grant's tireless, dedicated efforts towards our students and discipline! A fitting closure to our most recent AMS awardee!
