A great Senior Academy tour of our ECD 911 Center today! Dispatcher Elyse Bushart explained all the different facets of what happens when someone calls 911. The Seniors said Elyse was professional and informative with her presentation! Week 3 in the books ☑️

A visit to the HOJ! The Senior Academy heard from DA Sandra Doorley and PD Julie Cianca. Our Court Bureau also had Judge Randall and Judge Ruhlmann discuss County & Family Court, respectively. A great day to learn about our justice system.

Deputy Ottley and his K9 partner, “Peak”, joined Deputy Payne and his Parma Seniors group today! Ottley talked about being a K9 handler and how Peak’s job is to find missing people. Peak is the first bloodhound for the MCSO and she is now 4 years old.

Special Teams Day! Our Senior Academy got to have an up close look at the different teams the MCSO has - pictured are our Bomb Squad, SCUBA Team, K9 Carl, and our Mounted Unit. Our Hostage Negotiation Team, Drone, and SWAT also presented. Next week is graduation for the Seniors!

Deputy Nate Clarke helped the Crestwood Boy Scout Troop with their fingerprinting badge today! He talked about his job as a Field Technician and even showed the kids how to fingerprint. Thank you to Crestwood School for having us!

Students at Fairport High School took part in a DWI reenactment Friday. The demonstration included a simulated crash scene in the student parking lot. With prom and graduation season happening, schools like Fairport are warning students about the dangers of drinking and driving.
