At #ECOFIN with EU finance ministers today. As momentum grows on integrating EU financial services, I updated Council on the Commission’s analysis of Council compromises on Banking Union, retail investment & supervisory data sharing. We need to do better.

This morning in Luxembourg I met with Niklas Wykman. We talked about how to reach the EU’s goals for #CapitalMarketsUnion, including what the priorities should be for the next mandate. We can learn from the Swedish experience where the bulk of households have investments.
