Snow is not projected to start until the morning hours; however, snow is forecasted throughout the entire day. As a result, MCPS will be closed on Friday, March 8, 2019. Employee code 4.

MCPS schools are closed on Tuesday, January 7. Employee Code 5. We are making this call today so families have time to plan. The timing of tomorrow’s predicted weather makes it impossible to know exactly what will happen. We want everyone to stay safe.

These pictures are of a couple of our roads and were taken within the last hour. VDOT will be working in these areas throughout the night to get them cleared. This will result in MCPS being on a two hour delay on Wednesday, January 8. Code 2

Schools in MCPS will be on a two hour delay on Friday, February 7, so we can continue to monitor floodwaters and be certain that roads are safe for buses.

Thursday, November 12, is a Learn-From-Home Day for all students. MCPS schools are closed due to flooding and power outages across the County. Teachers will post a Wednesday check-in form for students to complete as they are able.

Schools are closed MCPS on Thurs, Dec 17. Students should check Google Classroom in the morning for an Inclement Weather Day Assignment. Teachers only report to buildings if needed for meetings. Meals will be available at the high schools from 11 am to 1 pm. Code C

8 Days Until the First Day of School!! It's not too late to get vaccinated! There will be a mobile vaccination clinic at Christiansburg High School on August 11, 2021, from 9 am - 3 pm. No appointments necessary. All required K-12 vaccinations will be available.

Don't Forget! Tomorrow (Tuesday, August 31) is an early release day for all grade levels. Middle and high schools will dismiss at 12:20 pm. Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:15 pm. Our teachers will use this time to participate in professional development. #ThisisMCPS
