Brand new fresh install of Adobe After Effects 2023. Made sure not to bring over my old preferences so as to not cause a problem. Double checked that all the plugins I install (2 of them) were compatible with 2023 and yet it still crashes on me.

How is it that my dual 3090, 3.5 GHZ 14 core intel machine still can't play an after effects timeline in 1/32 resolution in real time? Adobe After Effects get better y'all.

The real benchmark for whether a computer is amazing or not shouldn’t be whether it can play Crisis, but if it can play a 720p 1/4 rez After Effects timeline in real-time or not. Trick benchmark. There’s no computer in the world that can do that because AE sucks ass.

I like to shame Adobe After Effects a lot, but I have to give them credit as well. Being able to see what effects are taking up more time is amazing. Just knocked a 6 hour render down to 8 minutes by optimizing.
