Wow. Some serious victim blaming here from a DC elected official against one of the hardest working small business owners I can think of. Seriously oblivious and condescending.

Agree with the disagreement. I’ve worked in large enterprises and have had to rank/prioritize multiple vulnerabilities across multiple large networks. Helpful to know what is certainly exploited vs what is probably going to be. It’s not great detail but better than not having it.

ANCs performing constituent services or acting as a go-between is not a solution. It’s a symptom of ineffective government agencies (and/or Council) that need more accountability. But, the ANC fiefdoms are a platform to feel important or connected so will most certainly remain.

Last year, Charles Allen voted for the law that now allows dangerous drivers to renew their licenses and stay on the road. Now says safety on the streets is a priority. 🙄

If you want to be a better hacker, be a developer. Be an admin. Set up infra. Build coding projects. Make an app that writes to a db. Or stores cookies. Or performs auth. You will find it easier to spot the cracks and failure points in systems once you have set them up yourself.

Precisely why the best way to reduce dangerous driving is to encourage law enforcement to conduct traffic stops to hold drivers immediately accountable. Not wait many years and sue the car owner for unattainable amounts, as Charles Allen, AG Brian Schwalb & others desire.

To be convicted of reckless driving, dangerous drivers must first be stopped by a law enforcement officer… which DC Council and others have discouraged since ~2015. So, this is performative feel-good legislation to “do *something*”
