For years, we've been saying that bigger isn't always better for AI and that smaller specialized models are usually faster, cheaper and more accurate for your specific constraints. So super happy to release the long-overdue capability of finding the best model based on size on

If life was a perfect utopia.. no suffering, no stress, no worries, just constant peace, happiness and limitless time.... would it feel fulfilling or boring?

This highlights an issue using wheeled feet While it improves locomotion, standing in place is a challenge Despite the robot upper body being perfectly still, a constant rocking motion in the wheels is needed for balance Arm movements and loads will exacerbate the problem

Can someone explain what we’re supposed to do with all these humanoid robotics companies? Back in 2012, when I graduated with a bachelor’s in robotics, I never imagined the space would get this competitive. It’s now clearly dominated by a few players shaping the entire direction.

What a wild time we’re living in, where cheating is somehow seen as inspiring. Yeah, cool, $15 million investment, because who wouldn't love to cheat, right? I get that LeetCode might be terrible, but even this idea is worse. Are we just living in a f**ked-up society?

If this world still has any values, a16z must be sued. I’m sure there are countless founders out there solving real problems and struggling to get funding and yet they throw $15 million at this. I’m so pissed off.

Don’t troll if your company is made of glass. Saying you don’t care about social norms isn’t a sensible thing to say especially from people who are shaping the future of humanity.

"Every so often a new AI development comes along and great excitement ensues as people stumble over themselves convinced that the key to intelligence has been unlocked." Me writing about AI overhype 37+ years ago. Old dogs, old tricks. Yes, I did look like that.
