Today is Roma Genocide Remembrance Day, where we commemorate the Roma and Sinti people who were murdered by the Nazis.

We’re hosting a series of regional roadshows between 18 September and 27 November 2025, which will bring the healthcare system and allies together to confront and address equity in pay and progression for NHS staff from Black, Asian, and ethnic minority backgrounds.

Crucially, this work will both outline the challenge and offer practical tools and resources to tackle the inequalities - helping NHS organisations to create an inclusive environment for all staff.

Alongside GATE Herts, Kushti Bok, We're not here anymore - formerly @YorkTravellers, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Friendly Churches, The Traveller Movement and Leeds Gypsy and Traveller Exchange, we wrote to Minister for Housing and Planning to ensure landlords can apply for funding for Gypsy and Traveller sites under the new Social and Affordable Homes Programme.
