The male walked over to 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞. “Briar Rose, are you alright?”

He looked at her, raising an eyebrow. “That didn’t sound convincing… what’s on your mind?”

He crossed his arms. “Briar Rose I wasn’t born yesterday. I helped raise you… you can’t pull a fast one on me.”

He put a finger under her chin. “It’s not nothing Rose… tell me, or I will have to tell your godmother.”

He looked at her. “Then tell me.”

He stared at her unamused. “What? Excuse me? You… you did what now?”

He looked at her. “You’re a child!”

He crossed his arms. “No and that’s final. Besides anything that comes here into the mountains from the courts aren’t people you want to get to know Rose.. believe me.”

He looked down at her. “That pout isn’t going to work this time. Not for this situation. You aren’t allowed to meet anyone, unless they’re human like you. As other beings here, could actually kill you.”

He looked at her. “Rose, if you try and have a life with something, or a child with something with wings, it won’t work well for you. So listen. You need a human..”

He stared at her, arms crossed. “Rose, I’m a raven… I can just sit in a tree and no one would know… so I’ve seen this boy… besides I’ve seen the boy when he tried speaking with your godmother.”

He sighed. “Yes, but for your own safety Rose.”

He sighed softly. “I’m sorry… but I’m supposed to watch you and make sure you’re safe.”

He looked at her. “I’m sorry… but it’s for your own safety… besides if something happened to you, your godmother wouldn’t let anyone forget it.”
