Voronoi diagram (black points) computed by projecting vertically lower envelope of n 3D graphs of functions {(x,y_i(x))} with y_i(x)=D(x_i,x) (pink). When distance D(x,x')=‖x-x'‖^2, graphs of y_i are paraboloids and Voronoi cell borders are linear

pro tip for coding any complex UI with AI agents: tell it to add a debug HUD overlay. (here's an example from this morning: showing me how a layout process is working) helps you understand what the AI did, helps with debugging if needed, and bonus: AI can use the HUD too 🤯

Nature adopted fractal patterns to maximise surface area under constraints. I have a theory (totally unproven) that we evolved to tell stories because they compress wisdom in a similar fractal way. A five minute parable maximises the surface area of wisdom exchange under

Copyright law protected not just the economic incentives of creators, but also the value of creative work as an information signal (e.g., for employers trying to hire talent). I did not understand this about copyright law before its collapse, but in retrospect it seems obvious.
