🎵Composer Pip Greasley has written a special musical piece for the Carillon Tower's centenary. We spoke to Pip about the piece, the difficulty in writing it and how it feels to follow in Edward Elgar's footsteps in writing music for Loughborough's Carillon.

We are looking forward to marking the centenary of Loughborough's Carillon Tower tomorrow. ☂️The weather forecast doesn't look the best but the event will still take place so grab your waterproof, an umbrella & make your way down to Queen's Park to mark this momentous occasion.

We're looking forward to attending 100 Years of the Carillon Tower today! Did you know the idea to build the Tower came from Wilfred Moss CBE who was Mayor and attended Loughborough Grammar School? And his younger brother Charles Moss helped to build it! 🏛

Following today’s Thanksgiving service, musical act Embers Duo are now performing just outside the Carillon Tower. Information stalls are still open and you can still visit the Carillon Tower and take in the fantastic views of Loughborough from the very top of the tower.

Caroline Sharpe (LHS 1997) put on an incredible recital to celebrate #Carillon100. One of the pieces performed was called 'Silent Chimes' which was composed by Pip Greasley (LGS 1965) 🔔
