Back then, I made some incorrect predictions:
- There will never be more than 100 Loop users because there won't be enough working pumps
- There will be a comparable commercial option with full phone/watch control within a year
Here's one reason why #PWD (people with #T1D) love #Loop. What other medical device is so patient-centered that it lets someone create a button to put it in "surf mode" (in this case, temporarily lowering insulin dose to enable safe surf session)?
My dear friend Katie DiSimone is facing one of the biggest challenges one can face. She has done so much for the T1 community. Please consider supporting her and her family as they navigate this difficult time. gf.me/u/z2rb72 #GoFundMe #WeAreNotWaiting #CancerSucks
Lastly, we cleared for marketing the Tidepool Loop, a mobile application intended for use with compatible devices for automated insulin dosing to help manage type 1 diabetes in persons six years of age and older.
Dexcom G7 now connects directly to Apple Watch so people with diabetes can monitor their glucose levels right from their wrist, even when their iPhone isn’t with them. Amazing work by the Dexcom developers in making it more convenient to get this important real time info!
