Guidance needed - route planning in Scotland! How 'open' is open access? If there are tracks shown on the OS map beside the Tweed (yellow highlight), how likely is it that I will be able to walk it? Admittedly I would expect issues through Floors, but how about the rest? RT pls?

What a massive bellend! Instead of repeatedly making everyone's Twitter experience completely unbearable, why don't you go build a secret lair on a desert island somewhere, then lock yourself in!

Can anyone recommend a pair of lightweight mid height, waterproof, ideally wide fitting walking boots. They can't be Salomon or Inov-8 though!

They have at least quarter of a mile to get to the nearest water! Had to warn a couple of drivers to watch out for them 🦆🦆🦆

Why is running so much more difficult than walking? I can walk 22 hilly miles in a day, and I can do 12 flat miles in 3 hours, but I couldn't run half a mile if my life depended on it?

I checked the FAQ on the Sawyer Europe website, but doesn't answer my question. I've not used the filter (SP128) for maybe three years and I probably didn't clean it properly before I stored it - will a backflush with warm water be safe enough to use it again?

Now, when I finish a walk feeling knackered, I have the stats to back it up! 19 miles on the #SouthernUplandWay has taken it out of me today 😁

Here's today's walk report for day 2 along the #SouthernUplandWay - being dead jammy with the weather 😁 lonewalker.net/southern-uplan…

And I thought I was wet yesterday! Day 4 along the #SouthernUplandWay and I know what the inside of an otter's pocket must be like! lonewalker.net/southern-uplan…

It's only taken me 10 years, but I've just finished the #SouthernUplandWay - quite easily the best of all Scotland's Great Trails!

Used part of the #PennineWay around Gargrave on a walk today, and the pull of the path is strong. I think I need to walk it again, one last time, while I still can #NotGettingAnyYounger

I overdosed on heather today, on Rombalds, Ilkley and Burley Moors. Walking station to station on the Leeds - Carlisle line between Steeton and Saltaire
