What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders? More than half the CO₂ emissions of the industrial age have been dumped into the atmosphere since 1990.

Sitting on a train with my sons hurtling into the future, thinking how Earth brushed past 2°C, how Taylor Swift is climate silent even after a fan died, how the rich keep expanding fossil fuels, how the media is failing, how this is the coolest it'll be for the rest of our lives

what billionaires and the very rich are doing in essence is stealing life force that was not meant for them from other humans, and other species, from the past, present, and future.

If an alcoholic made no commitment to phase out or phase down their alcohol consumption, but planned to "move away from alcohol in a just, orderly & equitable manner so as to achieve sobriety by 2050” would you believe them?

Just to be clear - the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere has already locked in the destruction of every coastal city through sea level rise, and thereby the destruction of the world economy, and made half the world uninhabitable effectively, for ever. If what the elites have done

Wow. United Nations Secretary General António Guterres on 🔥 just called the coal, oil & gas companies “the godfathers of climate chaos”👇 "Climate change is the mother of all stealth taxes, paid by everyday people, vulnerable countries and communities. Meanwhile, the godfathers of climate

Almost no celebrities or anyone of any significant mainstream profile talking about this. I cant help but laugh in despair at this point. We really are pretty fucked. Hard to believe the lack of interest. Bye bye food, hello war.

“It’s really too bad, you know, we’re shooting missiles and rockets and whatnot at each other on this tiny little place we call home. It’s the only home in the universe for us humans. It’s too bad we don’t treat it a little better.” — Bill Anders

I understand why people look away from the terrifying facts about climate change - because it’s horrific and because if you understand it it means you have a moral responsibility to do something. But we have to. Our kids are relying on us. What happened to parental

In simple objective terms, it is not those who are climate aware, who have the weird cult like views, but the mainstream. It is the mainstream view and narrative, peddled by political leaders, the media etc, which is the weird cult like viewpoint. youtu.be/P8rlLaT8v4Q 3/

All the "solutions" for extreme heat (planting trees, cooling centers, etc.) will only help to the extent that we quickly dismantle the fossil fuel industry. Fossil fuel is the overwhelming proximal cause. The only actual solution is to end fossil fuels.

Climate change is winning CO2 emissions have increased 2 billion tons since 2020 Fossil fuel consumption has increased 38 Exajoules (EJ) Wind & solar have increased 14 EJ & nuclear-hydro has increased 8 EJ PLEASE DON'T RESPOND THAT WE NEED TO WORK HARDER ON RENEWABLES

100% of the world's wildlife will be dead and buried by 2042. Okay back to doing the maths people: The World Wildlife Fund, bless them, are doing the count down to zero for wildlife - like some final solution report. All very professional. We would not expect anything else.
