I took off 2+ months for mental health and addiction treatment From a medical career as a doctor It was hard Fraught with stigma, paperwork, and other people’s perceptions But none of that matters I’m Healthy Happy Thriving And Alive to experience it all.

Maybe this is a super controversial opinion but 8-YEAR-OLDS SHOULDN'T BE TRACKING EVERYTHING THEY EAT OR SEEING THEIR BODIES AS BEFORE PICTURES. They should be learning & exploring & growing & knowing that they're worth the WORLD in the bodies they have. #wakeupweightwatchers

I was told (by a medic) I would struggle to be an acute paediatric consultant based on preconceived ideas about my diagnosis. I left medicine, not bcs that person was right; I left bcs I chose to. Except, some days all I hear are his words. This is the effect of #stigma.
