I’ve always enjoyed baking challenges but this is a new one. How long do you leave an almost finished cake in a previously hot oven after the power goes out? I feel like Im playing roulette with the cake gods as I consider breaking the seal to check on it.

Cake update: power returned this morning to finish the special request 6 layer dinosaur cake with a M&M interior volcano. Really going to put more restrictions on J’s cake request next year lol. Also in disbelief I have a six-year old.

This is so promising. We live a 15 minute drive from the Falls and can still hear the nightly fireworks in every room in our house. The mitigation of the noise and environmental impact if changed would be huge.
