#OnThisDay 2 November 1950 - The death of #GeorgeBernardShaw, one of the most celebrated writers to emerge from Ireland and the only person to have won an Oscar (1938) and the Nobel Prize in Literature (1925). He won an Oscar for the Best Screenplay Adaptation for '#Pygmalion'.
