im American and i relate to this. i love being bisexual and wouldn't want it any other way, but I can recount so many instances of feeling like my life would be way easier if i was straight. there is an element of tragedy to being queer in a society that doesn't want you.

this exists for my Blackness. i felt the "i wish i was White" self-hate as far back as 3rd grade. and while a lot of Queer and Black liberation is about pushing back against internalized hatred, it still exists because of the queer-antagonistic & anti-black society we live in.
